If you have been following me or listening to my podcasts, then you will be quite aware that words are tools to cast spells. Whether they are good or evil spells is up to the intention behind them. While I was researching a completely different topic involving giants and serpents, I came across the Hebrew word for serpent/sorcery/witchcraft, which is nachash/nahash (I’ve seen it spelled a couple of ways). What interested me is the plural version nechashim. The only anagram that formed was machines. Now, that’s interesting as I have been researching computers and binary code. Since computers use sigil magick, and binary code is based on ancient divination tools called the i-ching.

So, machines relating to the serpent makes sense to me. Machine’s etymology proto-indo-european roots is mahg “to be able, have power.” The Latin Machina meaning “engine, device, trick, or instrument.” Greek makhana meaning “device, tool, contrivance, cunning.”

I find it interesting that trick or cunning can make it into the definitions of the machine. Cunning is deceitful, and tricks are deceptive and fraudulent. That is exactly what the serpent is, deceiving Adam and Eve in the garden. Perhaps the machines we use are also part of the serpent’s tricks?

Our world, as we know it, relies on all sorts of different machines, from the one you carry in your pocket to automobiles, ovens, coffee makers, and medical equipment. Think about all the gadgets you have in just your kitchen alone. So many machines that we depend on for our survival.

Is the serpent hiding in our technology? Tricking us into the convenience of life and eventually going to pull the plug? What would happen if the world didn’t have these machines to rely upon anymore? Looking into what would happen after an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) can give us an idea. After an EMP, people would no longer have long-range communications. All vehicles with microchips would be stranded. Radios, cell phones, all those kitchen gadgets wouldn’t work anymore. Generators and fuel pumps, water pumps would cease operation. The grid and most solar panels, for that matter, wouldn’t produce energy. The world would be in darkness. Something I think the Prince of darkness would like.

It would seem like this could be the serpent’s master plan to have the masses cast into darkness (his kingdom). It would make logical sense for the serpent to hook us on convenience just to pull the rug from under us. I can’t say for sure whether or not the serpent is in machines, but as they say, the devil is in the details.
