180 God
From Lost Hope to Hopeful: Jesus Conquers All
180 God
The Program To Help You Turn Back To God
And Learn Who He Is
The beginning has to start off with that first step.
That step can be a physcal step, or it can be step one of your plan. Start, and the movement creates momentum, and that momentum creates results. Whether you are going for a hike, a training session, writing a book, or turning your focus back to God, starting is a must.i
That is the same when it comes to connecting with our Creator, God.
So we don’t get confused with which God I speak of, it is the God of the Bible. The One who told Moses, I AM THAT I AM. It is critical to know exactly what the end goal is when setting goals. And if you ask me, the only goal that matters is knowing God as best as we can and following the example Jesus showed us.
How many times have you turned your back on God?
I know I have several times.
It’s not a good feeling, and often it happens because we lose focus. We get lost in the world. What’s for dinner? Don’t forget Suzy’s soccer game. Timmy has tennis practice, and I can’t forget to pick him up after work. Or politics. Or the news. Or some rabbit hole that started with one question and ended three hours later with your brain feeling like a toaster in a thunderstorm.
This world is full of distractions, and that’s partly by design. Not necessarily God’s design, but Satan’s goal is to distract us from our commitment to God.
The etymology of the word distract comes from the 14th century, meaning to draw or turn a person’s mind away from or divert attention.
Instead of distraction, we need attraction.
The etymology of attraction is a drawing together.
God doesn’t need us, but we need Him. And if we cannot draw closer to Him, then all is for naught. The family, the money, the reputation, the opinions of others, the little glowing screen that keeps demanding our attention like a needy raccoon in a suit, all of it becomes meaningless if God is not the center.
Without God, man is doomed. We can see the evidence by the way a godless society builds material idols and calls confusion wisdom. We see subjective morality everywhere. People justify nearly anything if it benefits their side, their group, their politics, or their appetite. It’s getting ridiculous.
But this program is not about obsessing over how bad everything is.
This is about turning back to God.
For months, if not years, I had been praying to God to reveal the path He wanted me to walk. I kept hearing Him tell me to read the entire Bible. So I did. But it’s a big book, and I kept getting distracted. I kept praying, “God, please give me more insight on my path.”
Finally, when I had only a few books left and I was much more consistent in my reading, God showed me the next step I needed to take.
I had heard of a program for mental toughness and discipline called 75 Hard. that is a extremely rigid program and I tried making this a rigid program like that at first. But because of missing a day I would spend more time away. I knew tweaks needed to be made
This time, I listened from the get-go. I came up with actions I believe God wanted to be part of the program. I started doing the program, but I had no clue what to call it.
Then God whispered, 180 God.
That’s it.
180 for the turning around back to God. And 180 days would be the length of the program.
Six months is a long time. 75 Hard is two and a half months. But this program is not about mental toughness and discipline, although discipline is definitely a side quest on this journey. This is about connection with God and learning who He is.
He is God, therefore infinite. So there is more wonder and excitement in studying Him than any rabbit hole, government coverup, banking conspiracy, hidden symbol, or strange mystery this world can offer.
What 180 God Actually Helps You Do
180 God helps you rebuild your daily focus on God through Scripture, wisdom, and simple reminders to take hold of your thoughts.
That’s the promise.
Not fix your entire life overnight, understand every mystery on earth, escape all deception and become spiritually unstoppable by Thursday.
That’s too much. we would have to wait until at least Friday of next week for that. jokes aside The offer is much simpler than that.
For 180 days, I’ll send you one simple email a day to help you stop feeding fear and start turning your attention back to God.
That is the point.
Less fear.
Less distraction.
More Scripture.
More wisdom.
More focus on Jesus.
This is not some type of challenge to prove how spiritual you are. This is a program to help your relationship with God. It will take discipline to complete this. It is a grind. But discipline is necessary in your relationship with God.
Taking these actions day in and day out may feel monotonous at times. There will be times when you don’t want to read. There will be times when life gets loud. There will be times when your mind fights you. That does not mean you failed. That means you are human.
The goal is not perfection.
The goal is turning back to God.
The Daily Steps
Here is the basic structure of 180 God.
Every day for 180 days:
- Read the Proverbs of the Day
- Read the daily Bible reading
- Look into one Hebrew or Greek word from the reading
- Take hold of your thoughts and turn your focus back to God
- Every 7th day, take a Sabbath Reset
The Proverbs of the Day is simple.
If today is the 21st, read Proverbs 21.
There are 31 Proverbs, and most months have 30 or 31 days, so this gives us a simple rhythm of wisdom. The world has enough opinions. Proverbs gives us wisdom from God.
The daily Bible reading is built around 10 chapters a day. The reason I picked 10 chapters is because it gets you through 1,800 chapters in 180 days. There are 1,189 chapters in the Bible, so in six months you can read through the Bible about one and a half times.
That is powerful.
But I also understand that life is fast these days.
People have jobs. Kids. Chores. Bills. Health problems. Distractions. Bad days. Weird days. Days where the washing machine breaks and the dog looks at you like he has clothes to wash and you’re holding him up.
So I do not want people quitting just because they could not do the full reading one day. Since the Lord forgives us in our folly this program is not meant to make you start over if a day is missed.
That is why 180 God has three steps.
The Leap of faith, Big step and Took a step
The Leap of faith is the full daily reading.
Read the Proverb of the Day and the 10 Bible chapters.
This is the main path of 180 God. This is what we are aiming for. If you can do the full reading, do it. It will stretch you. It will fill your mind with Scripture. It will help you see the full story of God moving from Genesis to Revelation.
The Big step is for the days when life and tasks are a big juggling act.
Read the Proverb of the Day and one chapter from the daily reading.
That still keeps you in the Word. That still keeps you moving. That still turns your attention back to God. One chapter read with focus is better than ten chapters you pretend you read while your mind is somewhere in a gas station parking lot arguing with imaginary people.
The Took a step is for the days when your mind is fighting you.
Read one verse, pray one honest sentence, and turn your mind back to God.
That’s it.
One verse.
One honest sentence.
One turn back toward God.
Never quit because you could not do the Full Step.
That might sound too simple, but simple is sometimes what keeps a person from giving up. If you miss a day, do not let shame drag you into the ditch. Christ allows forgiveness. Make it up tomorrow if you can, but be honest with yourself. Doing your best while holding yourself to the highest standard possible is what will get you there.
The goal is not to build a spiritual treadmill with a clipboard.
The goal is to keep turning back to God.
The Weekly Sabbath Reset
Since 180 God is about focus and turning back to God, not legalism, every 7th day will be lighter.
This is called the Sabbath Reset.
Instead of 10 new chapters, choose two of the following:
- Review what reading, verse, or word stood out to you this week
- Read one Psalm
- Pray one honest prayer
- Catch up only if you want to
- Rest without guilt
This gives the program breathing room.
A 180-day daily Bible plan with no breathing room can start to feel like boot camp. But this is not about building pressure until people break. This is about building a rhythm that helps people keep going.
The Sabbath Reset reminds us that God is not impressed by burnout.
Rest is not laziness when it is done in obedience and gratitude. Rest can be worship when it turns the heart back to God.
If you are healthy enough and able, I also invite you to fast on the Sabbath Reset. Fasting has incredible benefits, but more importantly, it helps us remember that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
If you cannot fast for medical or health reasons, I understand. Use that day for extra prayer, Scripture, and rest.
The point is not to hurt yourself.
The point is to draw closer to God.
Why This Matters
If your phone usage is tied to fear-warmongering propaganda, endless scrolling, or information that leaves you anxious, angry, and spiritually drained, then let’s get rid of that.
I’m not saying be misinformed.
But there is such a thing as too much information. And I would rather fill my brain with the wisdom, understanding, and knowledge of Jesus.
Faith without works is dead, as James tells us. I’m not saying your works will save you. Jesus saves. But works do show the fruit of the tree. If we say we believe, then at some point our time, thoughts, habits, and attention should start turning toward God.
That is what 180 God is trying to help with.
A daily turn.
A daily reminder.
A daily step back toward the Father.
You do not have to be perfect to start.
You just have to start.
Have the Leap of faith when you can.
Do the Big Step when life is heavy.
Do the Took a step when your mind is fighting you.
But do not quit.
Never quit because you could not do the Full Step.
What You’ll Receive
When you sign up for 180 God, I will email you once a day with the steps for that day.
Each daily email will include:
- The Proverbs of the Day reminder
- The 10-chapter Bible reading
- A Hebrew or Greek word note
- A short encouragement to take hold of your thoughts
- A reminder to turn your focus back to God
Every Sunday, you will receive a Sabbath Reset email.
That reset day will help you slow down, review what stood out, read a Psalm, pray honestly, catch up if you want, and rest without guilt.
You may also receive occasional emails about Qwak House Media releases, music, stories, articles, merch, and sneak previews of the creative Christian media I am building.
But the main point of 180 God is simple.
For 180 days, I’ll send you one simple email a day to help you stop feeding fear and start turning your attention back to God.
That is the offer.
That is the path.
Turn from the world and into Gods world
I look forward to hearing many testimonies from those who choose to change up their mindset and align their focus with Christ.
Don’t be afraid to share this with others.
But God is still speaking through His Word.
Start with wisdom.
Read the Word.
Take hold of your thoughts.
Appreciate what God has already given you.
And keep turning back to God.
About Qwak House Media
Qwak House Media was created to point deep truth seekers back to Jesus. I make music, writings, stories, videos, and other media for people who have seen enough darkness to know this world is not what it claims to be, but still need to remember that Jesus is the Truth above it all.
The goal is Christ. If the rabbit hole has pulled you away from peace, 180 God is an invitation to turn around.
